This course covers multiple disciplines within the industry and facilitates the academic investigation of these topics at SCQF level 7.

Areas covered include Sports Coaching, Sports Development, and a range of Sports Science topics. Learners will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work as professionals within the sports industry in various contexts.

Learners have the opportunity to visit and participate in a variety of sporting events and festivals and gain additional sports and fitness qualifications.

The course provides learners with the industry-recognised PDA qualification certified by SportScotland/CIMSPA (Level 2 Coaching Framework).

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers including English, Physical Education or a science subject. Or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. There will be an interview, practical assessment and written test.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
