Hair professionals play an important role in our health and wellbeing by helping us to look and feel at our best. It's an exciting industry to work in and to be successful you need to be caring, creative, hard-working, a team player and enjoy working with people. If you're interested in a career in hairdressing, this course is a great place to start.

Units include: Shampooing, conditioning, scalp massage, drying, and styling techniques, including plaits and twists; General salon duties; Participation in competitions fundraising events for charity by offering services such as plaits and curling; Skill development for employment, including communication and teamwork.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 3; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3.
