This intensive course is designed for those who want to become a junior stylist at the end of this one year programme. It is the perfect springboard for a future career in the industry.

Content:
Plait and twist hair; Shampoo and condition hair; Style and finish - a range of blow drying and finishing techniques; Set and dress - using rollers and electrical equipment to style hair; Change hair colour - Product selection, application techniques to change hair colour; Basic cutting - Four basic techniques to create a range of looks; Customer care; Advise and consult with clients about a range of services; Develop and maintain effectiveness at work; Develop working relationships with clients and colleagues, as well as your own personal development; Information and communication technology; Working with others; Enterprise.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including Art and Design and preferably English, or Introduction to Hairdressing at SCQF Level 4 preferred.
