This course focuses on preparing you fully for entering the exciting world of Make-up Artistry and, in particular, theatre and the creative media. It’s fun, fascinating and completely industry led. You’ll work with professional make-up companies, photographers, theatres and creative media organisations. You’ll build a high quality e-portfolio of your creations as you go.

Units include: 20th century hairstyling and make-up; ageing skills; specialised make-up effects for TV and film; production studies for theatre.

You will have the chance to volunteer in the community for productions, take part in competitions and learn from demonstrations by industry suppliers like Urban Decay, Illamasqua, Charles Fox/Kyrolan.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher, ideally English or Art and Design, or NC Make-up Artistry; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Hairdressing experience would be beneficial. You will need to show various samples of your artwork or photography evidence of make-up.
