This 24-week course is for beginners with no experience of barbering or hairdressing. The course covers all basic cutting, barbering and styling techniques suitable and in line within current barbering industry standards. The course includes facial hair cutting and client-communication skills.
Beginners course covering all basic cutting, barbering and styling techniques to industry standard. The course includes:
Cut and clipper hair using basic barbering techniques; Cut facial hair; Provide non -strip waxing treatments; Implement and maintain safe, hygienic and effective working practices; Dry style and finish hair using barbering techniques; Shampoo condition and treat the hair and scalp.
No formal entry requirements. Entry is subject to interview and essay.
SVQ Barbering at SCQF Level 6, relevant apprenticeship or mentoring scheme.
