This course is designed for you if you are interested in taking the initial steps to a career in the fast-paced industry of Make-up Artistry. All technical units build and equip you with skills to expand your creativity and artistic skills through specialist units, unique to becoming a make-up artist.

Content:

Style, dress and finish hair; Wigs and postiche for the media; Media make-up effects; Character make-up for TV and theatre; Styling for a total look; Commercial expeience.

Additional units to make up the award include:

Photography: Digital imaging; Current creative make-up trends; Research skills.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5; or NQ Hairdressing (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
