This course is designed to advance your existing qualifications as a nail technician and to allow you to learn exciting new techniques such as sculpting, air brushing, and 3D nail art enabling you to expand your creativity, use your imagination, and demonstrate your artistic abilities.

You will also learn about business, finance, and promotional activities making this course ideal for those who wish to pursue self-employment or a management role.

Please note: the mode of study may include twilight/evening sessions. Draft timetables will be issued prior to the courses commencing where possible.

Unites include: Enhance and maintain nails using UV gel; Enhance and maintain nails using liquid and powder; Plan and provide airbrush designs for nails; Plan and create nail art design; Design a range of creative nail images; Prepare and finish nail overlays using electric files; Monitor procedures to safely control work operations; Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business; Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities.

Entry Requirements

NVQ Nail Services (VTCT) Diploma Level 2; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.

You must be a minimum of 16, have manual dexterity, a pleasant manner, and a keen interest in the nail services industry.
