Content

Transform your passion for sport, coaching and fitness into a rewarding career, supporting and motivating others to develop and realise their potential. This course is designed to provide you with the solid foundation of knowledge and skills required to work within the vocational areas of exercise and fitness, sports coaching, and health and wellbeing. It will also provide you with the knowledge required to progress onto Advanced Certificate: Sport and Fitness.

Subjects Include:
Developing leadership within physical activities; Human anatomy and physiology; Nutrition, health and wellbeing; Teamwork through sport and recreation activities; Current exercise trends; Sporting activities: Team and Individual.

Core Skills, Work Ready Skills and Employability Skills will be developed on this course.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
