Would you like to work as a Support for Learning Worker in an educational setting with a focus on supporting children and young people with additional support needs?

The PDA award consists of SQA units in the following:

Development of children and young people from birth to 18; Supporting the behaviour of children and young people; Providing support to children and young people in school; Supporting children and young people with Additional Support Needs; Professional Practice; Working with children and young people with autism; Supporting Language, Literacy and Numeracy in an Educational Setting.

In addition, full time learners will study core skills in IT, Communication and Numeracy.

Entry Requirements

Relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Applicants with experience in a childcare setting will be considered. Interview and written task.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
