The course is structured around a selection of both knowledge and skill based practical Motor Vehicle engineering units together with a core skill programme, which is valued by employers involving communications, numeracy and information technology.

The course involves the study of light vehicle construction and routine maintenance, operating principles of light vehicle engines, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension systems, transmission systems and electrical and electronic systems within structured practical workshop lessons and classroom theory.

Entry Requirements

You should be able to study at National 4 Level or above, or completed a relevant introductory course. You will attend an interview and advice session.
