This course provides education and training in a variety of specialist make-up applications and hairdressing techniques including wig/postiche application and maintenance, which are essential to candidates pursuing a career in make-up artistry specific to the film, television and theatre industry. Candidates will develop skills required to work as part of a production team and creating a professional portfolio. Achievement of HND Make-up Artistry: TV, film and theatre year 1 is essential.

The units undertaken may include:

Make-up Artistry: Character Skills; Make-up Artistry: Postiche for TV, Film and Theatre.

The following units are examples of what will be delivered within this course but may vary:

Make-up Artistry: Period Hairstyling and Make-up; Make-up Artistry: Life Casting and Mould Making; Make-up Artistry: Production Studies for TV and Film Production Study; Body Painting Skills for Make-up Artists; Make up Artistry: Graded Unit 2.

There will be ongoing assessments which will include practical tasks, written assessments and portfolio development.
