SQA units and national governing body awards relating to coaching, sport and fitness, including: football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, athletics, swimming, outdoor pursuits, CV training, resistance training, coach development, anatomy and Physiology; amongst others.

Plus core skills of communication, numeracy, IT and essential skills such as working with others, problem solving, citizenship and employability.

Students have the opportunity to gain the qualifications such as: national governing body (SCUK/ NGB Awards) coaching qualifications, NPLQ, First Aid Certificate and Level 2 Fitness Instructor. Please note that all practical elements and additional qualifications are campus-specific.

Entry Requirements

Relevant subjects at National 4/5 including English, Physical Education or a science subject. Interview.
