Content

This course is part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP)and is aimed at adults who want to return to education and to progress to degree or HNC study. The SWAP partnership with Universities in the West of Scotland will provide you with the opportunity to apply to a wide range of degrees. On successful completion of your programme, the partnership will provide you with the opportunity to study on a relevant higher education course at college or university.

You'll learn about:
Communication; Literature; Psychology; Sociology; IT; History; Numeracy/National 5 Maths; Forensic Psychology (Greenock Campus only).

Entry Requirements

If you're a mature student, you can apply with little or no qualifications but must have work or voluntary experience, a record of commitment and life skills.

For a place on the course you'll need to attend and interview and submit a short piece of written work.

Progression Routes

Successful students can progress to study Psychology, English, History, French, Sociology or Social Work. There are a few places available on the BEd Teaching Programmes, however only students who meet specific criteria will be recommended for interview.
