This course is fully accredited by The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses and includes a work placement within a dental practice.

The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses, Diploma in Dental Nursing is gained by completion of an electronic portfolio of evidence, written and practical assessments.

Once you have gained the qualification you will be eligible to register with The General Dental Council as a dental nurse.

Content includes:

Chairside Support for Dental Procedures; Dental Instruments; First Aid; General and Dental Anatomy ; Health and Safety; Infection Control and Prevention; Legislation; Oral Disease and Pathology; Oral Health Provision; Producing Dental X-Rays; The General Dental Council.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English and Biology or another science subject.
