Theological Studies (Combined)

University of St Andrews

Content

Divinity is one of the oldest intellectual pursuits and also one of the most relevant to the modern world. Degree programmes at St Andrews introduce you to the teachings and practices of the Christian faith in particular, and consider the profound influence that the Jewish and Christian scriptures have had on Western civilisation while addressing both the significance of faith today and challenges to it.

Divinity students come from diverse backgrounds and with very different goals in mind. While some wish simply to explore questions of worldview and to consider the shape of religious belief and practice in our society, others wish to explore and expand their faith commitments.

The School of Divinity is one of the officially recognised and approved colleges for the training of Church of Scotland ministers, and welcomes applications from those considering ordination in any Christian church.
