This course provides students with a high level of practical fashion work to enhance their hairdressing skills. Candidates will be required to gain work experience as part of this course.
Core units include:
Hair colouring and lightening; Colour correction; Combination cutting; Style, dress and finish hair; Styling for a total look; Commercial experience.
Optional units (selected by the College) include:
Creative cutting; Hairdressing: long hair design; Fantasy hair and make-up; Scalp, neck and shoulder massage.
NC Hairdressing (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Relevant experience. Entry is based on successful interview including a skills test.
