This course is designed to give learners the opportunity to gain introductory knowledge of the Social Sciences.

On this course, you will learn to think critically and analyse local, national and global topics, such as social and political issues, citizenship, sustainability, morality and mental health.

The course will give an introduction to Social Science subjects, such as RMPS, Mental Health, Modern Studies and Level 4 Numeracy. These will cover a range of interesting subjects, such as inequality, values and beliefs and social issues.??

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 4, preferably including English. Interview and pre-entry test.

Progression Routes

This course can lead to further study and career progression in the social sciences, such as Gateway to Psychology, Criminology and Social Sciences.
