Taught by experienced chef lecturers who have worked in a wide range of roles in the industry, you’ll learn the basics of cooking and baking, learn barista skills, tackle supply details, balancing the books and how to sort your social media presence. Even if you decide not to start your own venture, you’ll gain the knowledge to successfully manage a bustling café or food outlet.
Some of the subjects included in Launching your Café: Skills for Success are:
Cookery; Bakery; Finance for business; Legal requirements (allergens, legislation, record keeping); Assist an event; Barista; Business concept development.
Relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4 preferred.
You could progress to Professional Cookery courses starting in January at Glasgow Clyde College.
