This HND is the first course of its kind in the UK and capitalises on the growing demand for Veterinary Technicians as a significant addition to Veterinary-led teams working in rural animal practice.

Other relevant career options include meat hygiene inspection, cattle foot trimming, or working in animal feed analysis.

The course will allow you to work both within a team and independently, performing procedures on multiple species of farm and rural animals.

Example modules include: Livestock Health and Disease; Livestock Genetics and Breeding; Food Animals and Public Health; Livestock Production Systems; Livestock Welfare and Ethics.

Entry Requirements

3 Highers at BBC including science subjects plus English, Maths and a science subject at National 5.
