This course is aimed at students with additional learning needs, who are looking to develop essential skills for employment. It further develops independent learning in a range of diverse subjects that will be beneficial for employment and further education.
Learners will gain knowledge and skills in hospitality, including basic cooking and food preparation, customer service and health and safety in the kitchen. You will also develop core skills in numeracy, communication and undertake a relevant work placement.
You will learn:
Basic Cooking and Food Preparation; Customer Service; Health and Safety in the Kitchen; Serving and Preparing Salads and Sandwiches; Using Kitchen Equipment; Communication and Numeracy; Mental Health; Wellbeing; Work Placement
Ability to work at National 4 with support; or Qualification for Work course.
