This course is designed to provide you with a firm foundation for building the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in hairdressing.

The course content provides foundation training including basic cutting and colouring which are the key units required within the hairdressing industry.

This is a practical hand on course providing you with the basic practical skills within a commercial salon to enter the industry at Junior Stylist level or progress to SVQ in Hairdressing (SCQF Level 6).

You must have an ability and willingness to communicate with people to be successful in the hairdressing industry.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English; or Hairdressing - Introduction to Foundation; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.
