Content

Dundee was the first law school in the UK to offer fully qualifying law degrees for the legal profession either in Scotland or in England and Wales, and Northern Ireland. We also offer a dual qualifying degree in both Scots and English Law.

Our Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) is internationally renowned in the field of international business transactions and natural resources and energy law and policy. Our interdisciplinary approach to teaching, research and consultancy provides a unique perspective on how governments, business and communities operate, providing the professionals of today with the ability to meet the challenges of tomorrow. This new programme is an exciting addition to our series of fully qualifying LLB degree programmes.

Students will spend their entire final year of undergraduate study developing a detailed knowledge and expertise in this key commercial field and will study modules such as National Oil and Gas law, International Oil and Gas Law, Energy Law and Energy Projects and Environmental Law. This programme brings together the opportunity to study for a dual qualifying LLB in Scots and English Law along with an in-depth, professionally oriented study of Oil and Gas Law. Students who successfully graduate with this LLB will be guaranteed entry to and a fee discount for CEPMLP’s highly competitive LLM programme.
