The NQ Applied Sciences (Level 5) course builds on the understanding gained in National 4 chemistry and biology. Through the course, you will be introduced to a range of laboratory skills and take part in work-related activities. Successful completion of this course will provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need to progress to NQ Applied Science (Level 6).

You will study:
Biology units; Chemistry units; Mathematics for science; Physics units; Practical laboratory skills; Science report writing skills.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.

Applications from those with no previous qualifications in the Sciences may also be considered if they have appropriate qualifications in English and Mathematics.
