Content

This course will provide you with the full range of competencies to meet the requirements of employers recruiting accounting staff. It will also give you the scope to develop and progress in a variety of ways within organisations of all types and sizes.

Year 1: Recording Financial Information; Preparing Final Accounts; Using Financial Accounting Software (SAGE); Costing; Management Accounting using Information Technology.

Year 2: Financial Reporting and Analysis; Accounting for Specialised Transactions; Business Taxation; Management Accounting for Decision Making; Management Accounting for Planning and Control.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers plus 4 subjects at National 5; or Advanced Certificate: Enterprise and Business (with accounting specialism); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
