This HNC Computing course provides a well-rounded introduction to the core principles and practices of computing, focusing on both technical skills and personal development.

You will gain hands-on experience in developing software, designing user-centred solutions, working with databases, and creating dynamic, responsive websites using modern web development technologies.

The course also builds a strong understanding of computer systems and troubleshooting. It emphasises teamwork, problem-solving, and project management, ensuring you develop the practical and transferable skills needed for success in the IT industry.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths, Computing Science or a science subject plus 2 subjects at National 5 including Maths (if not held at Higher), or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Levels 5 and 6. Interview.

Progression Routes

HND Software Development, or possible progression to Year 2 of a university course. Or employment.
