Cafe Services

West Lothian College

Content

This assisted programmes course supports students with additional support needs to develop their skills in a hospitality setting. Café Services have responsibility for and manage the Terrace Restaurant Café, “Funky Friday” on Friday lunch times.

In one of your lessons, you will be in the classroom to study subjects that support your practical activities in the kitchen. You will learn how important it is to keep safe in the kitchen, plan recipes and all about running the café, from discussing sustainability and food costs to health topics.

You will also celebrate special events and get your customers involved in the topics you have been exploring. For example, you might host an afternoon tea with special treats, or a valentine celebration.
