Through practical projects, students develop confidence, techniques, and skills for professional photography. The course covers various techniques, studio and on-location work, and portfolio building for further education and entrepreneurship.

You will study camera techniques, editing techniques, outdoor photography and studio photography. You'll also study through the National Progression Awards in Photography from SQA and you'll prepare for a portfolio and exhibition.

Entry Requirements

Subjects at National 5, preferably including English and an art based subject, or Intermediate Certificate: Photography, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Portfolio.
