This course will give you all the basic grounding skills you will need to further your studies within fashion.


Here are just some of the skills you learn in this design course:

How to design for the fashion industry; Approaches to the use of digital technology for fashion design; Practical skills including pattern construction, sewing skills and surface decoration.

You will explore theoretical aspects of fashion including history, merchandising and sourcing.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including Art and Design or Fashion and Textile Technology, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview. Portfolio of work.

Progression Routes

HND Fashion: Design and Production with Retail or HND: Fashion Business; employment within the Fashion Industry.
