The college's fresh, innovative and effective approach to design education means you could achieve amazing (and award-winning) results through brief-led projects, demonstrations and workshops. The experienced and knowledgeable lecturers will support you all the way, mentoring you to meet deadlines and follow briefs.

In year one you'll study:?
Graphic design; Animation: An introduction; Digital imaging; Printmaking and producing print; Typography; Art and design context; Art and design project; Graded unit 1; Mixed Media.

In year two you'll study:?
Client-initiated design project; Typography project; TP layout (Editorial); 2D Computer animation; Digital imaging project; Graphic design project; Preparing for a role in the field; Creative project; Graded unit 2.

Entry Requirements

Higher Art and Design or Graphic Communication, or Foundation in Graphic Design and Illustration (Level 6), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Portfolio of art and design work.

Progression Routes

BA Hons Graphic Design at Glasgow Clyde College, 2nd or 3rd year entry to relevant degrees in Graphic Design, Web Design or Computer Animation etc. or employment in the graphic design industry.
