his dynamic, hands-on programme blends classroom learning with creative classes, giving students the opportunity to express themselves, develop new artistic skills, and build confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment.
The course is open to learners progressing from within New College Lanarkshire or individuals with Additional Support Needs who are passionate about the arts and ready to take the next step in their creative journey.
Through creative practice and guided study, you will:
Explore a variety of art forms, such as visual arts, music, drama, and digital media; Learn how to plan, create, and present artistic work to an audience; Build teamwork, communication, and self-expression skills; Gain confidence through performance and creative collaboration; Understand how the arts contribute to wellbeing, culture, and community.
You should be working at SCQF Level 2, or have completed a suitable introductory programme at New College Lanarkshire (or equivalent experience), and have a genuine interest in the arts, creativity, and self-expression. You should be willing to participate in both classroom learning and practical activities, be able to work positively with others and contribute to group projects, and demonstrate enthusiasm and a commitment to developing new skills.
