Explore Society, Understand Yourself, Develop Your Skills Are you interested in understanding social issues, current events, and how people think, interact, and work together? This course provides an introduction to the concepts, methods, and disciplines within Social Science while helping you develop interpersonal, academic, and employability skills.

You will explore local and social issues, developing skills and knowledge through a variety of engaging topics:
Social Issues – discussions on poverty, social exclusion, crime, and health in the local area; History – exploring how the past and present are connected, looking at history within the local area; Literacy – practical skills for research, communication, and analysis - this is linked with the Scots Language; Personal Development and Employability – building teamwork, problem-solving, self-awareness, and work-ready skills,

This course does not require you to have formal qualifications. Entry may be subject to interview.
