The three qualifications provide a nationally certificated, quality assured framework to prepare the learner for a dental career. It provides an introduction to the General Dental Council (GDC). The NC in Oral Health Care: Preparing for Practice at SCQF Level 6 will be awarded upon successful completion of the two NPA qualifications.

You will study:

SCQF Level 5: Introduction to Basic First Aid, Oral Health Improvement: An introduction, Infection Prevention & Decontamination and Dental Anatomy.

SCQF level 6: Dental care Professionals: Fitness to Practice and Reflective Practice, Oral Health Assessment: An Introduction, Dental Patient Care: An Introduction.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English and Maths. Interview and written task.

Progression Routes

Dental Nursing SVQ or PDA in Dental Nursing.
