This 18-week course is aimed at care experienced people and individuals who have faced difficulties in their childhood, to help them redress gaps in essential knowledge. Extensive support is offered before the course starts and throughout the programme to help develop personal skills and present wider opportunities for growth within education and employment.
This course is suitable for young people from 16-21 who are:
• Ready to make a change by engaging with and attending the programme for its duration.
• At a stage in development where college is an appropriate next step.
• Able to attend three days a week.
• Care experienced, as outlined by Scottish Funding Council, in order to receive bursary payments.
On successful completion, you can progress to a full time course at level 4, 5 or 6 or use your qualification and experience to go into an apprenticeship programme or onto employment.
