The Applied Sport Science degree programme focuses on the study and application of scientific principles for sport.

You will explore the promotion, maintenance and enhancement of sport- and exercise-related behaviours and the factors that influence participation and performance in sport and exercise.

Our programme is centred on four key disciplines: physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and skill acquisition.

2027 entry requirements

Standard entry:
4 Highers at AABB (first sitting) or AAAB (two sittings) including one from Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Physical Education, Physics or Psychology plus English at National 5 at C.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at ABBB (by end of S6) including one from Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Physical Education, Physics or Psychology plus English at National 5 at C. Highers at BBB must be achieved in one sitting.
