Participants need salon experience or two years of industry background. Activities involve paired work and model sourcing for assessments, offering diverse career opportunities in hairdressing.
Units studied include:
Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques; Colour hair using a variety of techniques; Employability; Provide colour correction services; Creatively style and dress hair; Creatively dress long hair; Consultation services; Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills; Competition awareness; Sustainable living/health and safety.
Salon work placement is a mandatory part of this course - applicants are required to be employed or self-employed in a salon prior to course start date.
Hairdressing (VTCT) Diploma Level 1, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
