This course equips aspiring hairdressers with creative cutting, colouring, and styling techniques, emphasizing career readiness. Participants need salon experience or two years of industry background. Activities involve paired work and model sourcing for assessments, offering diverse career opportunities in hairdressing.

Units studied include:
Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques; Colour hair using a variety of techniques; Employability; Provide colour correction services; Creatively style and dress hair; Creatively dress long hair; Consultation services; Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills; Competition awareness; Sustainable living/health and safety.

Salon work placement is a mandatory part of this course - applicants are required to be employed or self-employed in a salon prior to course start date.

Entry Requirements

Hairdressing (VTCT) Diploma Level 1, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
