Kilmarnock Campus
This course focuses on helping students become more enterprising and independent in their learning, life and work. It helps them make the transition from school and become familiar with college life. The emphasis is on practical skills, rather than academic progress, and students will have a good level of choice within a supported environment. Here's just some of what students will be doing: Exploring Scottish Culture and Traditions Developing Skills in Creative Arts with a Scottish Context Exploring Scottish Food and Cookery Where possible we would like to incorporate trips to places that support the learning in class and explore the Scotland discussed in class.
This course is for young people who would like to develop or refresh their skills and gain confidence. It offers students a high level of support and nurturing, while creating independence.
On successful completion of this course, students can consolidate their learning with a part-time courses within our supportive environment: Part-time: (6 hours per week): Explore: Creativity Explore: Fit For Life Explore: Moving on Students can choose one of these part-time courses per year.
