The UWS Graduate Apprenticeship BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering emphasizes work-based learning, with one day per week at UWS Paisley Campus. This accredited degree by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), including major engineering institutions, meets academic requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and partly fulfils the academic criteria for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

Covering core Civil Engineering subjects, the Graduate Apprenticeship empowers apprentices to contribute effectively to planning, designing, and executing Civil Engineering projects. The curriculum emphasizes the development of soft skills like teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity, aligning with the Skills Development Scotland Civil Engineering framework.

Entry Requirements

Standard entry: 4 Highers at BBBC including Maths and a science subject.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBCC including Maths and a science subject.
