This course is designed to equip software developers and engineers with Agile project management skills and the knowledge, understanding and skills to become an effective, industry-focused, software development professional. You will bring real-world challenges into your assessments and tackle complex work problems through integrated work-based projects.

Year 1
Programming 0; Mathematics for Computing; Fundamentals of Computer Systems; Database Development; Fundamentals of Network and Cloud Computing; Fundamentals of Software Engineering; Work Based Project 1.

Year 2
Programming 1; Object Orientated Analysis and Design; Programming 2; Web Platform development 1; Human-Computer Interaction; Work Based Project 2.

Year 3
DevOps; Introduction to Data Science; Web Application Development 2; Research Skill and Professional Issues; Programming 3; Work Based Project 3.

Year 4
Big Data and IoT; Front End Web Development (option); Mobile Platform Development (option); Cloud Platform Development; Information Security; Honours Project.

4 Highers at BBCC including Maths, Applications of Maths or Computing Science.
