This course gives you an introduction to health and social care professions and the career paths available in these areas. It allows you to begin your studies at level 6 studying subjects such as care and psychology. Successful completion of this course can lead you to a place on an HNC, HND, or degree course at college or university in the SWAP – East network.
You will study a range of health and social care units covering topics such as:
Practical Skills; Care skills; Academic Study Skills; Communication; Human Body; Human development; Care Values.
You will also learn about the regulation of the health and social care sector, its history and challenges
No formal entry requirements. There is an interview with a short activity and a one to one session to ensure the level is right for the person.
