This course is designed for non-native speakers of English who are interested in a career in the health care sector.

Please note: this is not an ESOL Programme.

You will complete: Skills for Work: Health Sector National 4 Units; SQA L5: Employability Units; SQA L5: Personal Development Units; Industry recognised qualifications: REHIS, First Aid, Infection Control and Health and Safety; Work placement.

Entry Requirements

National 4 ESOL (Minimum of 2 units achieved). An interest in working in the Health Care sector. Interview. You will be required to provide evidence of current English level and you may be required to do an assessment to ensure you are offered a class at the correct level.

Progression Routes

Successful students may progress onto health and social care courses at Glasgow Clyde College.
