This course provides the essential skills and knowledge required to work in the horticulture and landscape industry.

Content:
Plant science; Soil science; Plant selection and identification; Work experience; Land-based machinery; Estate maintenance; Establish and maintain plants; Amenity turf; Plant propagation; Identification and control of plant problems.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4, or NQ Introduction to Horticulture (Level 4) or NQ Introduction to Landscape Design and Greenkeeping, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.

Progression Routes

HNC Horticulture or HNC Landscape Management. Potential move to jobs in horticulture and landscaping sector.
