Are you good with people, hardworking and creative? Then this could be the course for you! Introduction to Commercial Hairdressing is an entry level qualification for applicants with a keen interest in following a career in Hairdressing.

This course is designed to develop your skills and knowledge in basic haircutting, colouring and styling and prepares you for further study and/or employment as a trainee stylist within a salon.

This course has a particular focus on the use of technology in Hairdressing and how to incorporate sustainability into Hairdressing practices.

Applicants who meet the recruitment criteria will be provided with access to a hairdressing kit, appropriate protective clothing and learning materials.

Units can include:

Technology in Hairdressing; Sustainable Hairdressing; Client Consultation; Shampooing and Conditioning; Hair Styling, Setting and Dressing; Long Hair Styling and Hair-up; Cutting Hair;
Colouring Hair; Enterprise Activities.
