Ready for Retail is a one year full time course. It is usually a course that learners already within New College Lanarkshire progress onto, but in some cases, students can come straight from school or for students with Additional Support Needs who are not in school or college but who would like to develop retail skills in real life working environments. The course includes a mix of practical and classroom-based skills and knowledge within retail and customer service.

Students will undertake a mixture of college based outcomes and SQA units, sometimes including REHIS qualifications, depending on the campus attended.

Entry Requirements

Ability to work at SCQF Level 3. Candidates should already have completed a course at New College Lanarkshire. They should have a genuine interest in retail, customer service, or business and a willingness to take part in practical, hands-on activities.
