This course opens the door to a world of possibilities in horticulture. Whether it's gardening, landscaping, tree surgery, or garden centres, this field offers a wide range of career options.

In this course, you will have the opportunity to:

develop gardening skills, including grass and plant maintenance; learn gardening techniques such as safe use of hand tools, planting containers, and plant propagation; focus on environmental aspects and learn to identify trees, plants, and wildlife; develop skills in soft and hard landscaping, including planting, pruning, slabbing etc.; and, learn how to maintain an allotment, grow your own fruit and vegetables.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 3, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3. Entry subject to interview. A real interest in working in an outside environment.
