If you want to take part in a variety of volunteering activities, this programme will enable you to work as part of a team and experience a wide variety of interesting activities. You will attend college one day per week, and be taken as a class to a variety of external volunteering projects some of which may include Lamb Hill Stables, Maggie’s Meals the Salvation Army and many more. This experience will help you to forge links with the voluntary sector and develop future opportunities in this area.

Content:

You will undertake a number of Scottish Qualification Awards at SCQF level 3 these include:

Preparing to Volunteer; Volunteering Experience; Volunteering Investigative Project.

This will lead to the group award in Volunteering skills.

This course may lead to further volunteering, work experience or permanent work opportunities.
