If you want to learn the essential skills for a career in the field of horticulture and landscaping management, this is the course for you. In a mix of classroom learning and practical study, you’ll learn about all aspects of landscape surveying, practice your horticultural skills, construct hard landscaping features and get an insight into starting your own business.
This course will plant the seeds for a successful career in landscaping or landscaping management, and you can also continue your studies with an HND in Horticulture.
Units include: Landscape Design; Landscape Surveying; Practical Horticultural Skills including soft and hard landscaping; Landscape Design History; Machinery for Horticulture; Landscape Planting; Business Start-up.
1 Higher, Biology preferred, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Basic computing skills are necessary.
Relevant HND or employment in the horticultural and landscape industry.
