Content

Gain hands-on experience in hardware, software, and applications. Develop advanced skills in coding, web development, and cyber security.

Content includes:

Develop skills in hardware, software, and applications; Servers and animation: including a National Progression Award in Software Development; Computer systems' functional elements: learning to install and configure operating systems; Develop your understanding of software development, computer architecture, and coding; Design and create your own applications: master web development with HTML and CSS, and venture into 2D animation; and, Gain cyber security basics: identifying vulnerabilities safely and ethically.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including Maths or Computing Science; or NC Computing (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.

Progression Routes

Moving onto HNC Computing with options to study either Computing Science or Technical Support & Networking.
