Main Campus
This programme offers a supported transition into further education, training or work opportunities for young people and adults. It has been designed to prepare students for a working environment (voluntary work, supported employment or open employment) and is ideal for those who would benefit from building their confidence and skills through extended guidance and support.
Most of our students come to us from other Social and Vocational Studies courses, but some apply directly for Stepping Out specifically to prepare for further training or employability skills. Stepping Out involves coming to college three days a week. An important element of the course is to successfully complete a work experience placement and take part in a residential.
There are no formal entry requirements, however you must be willing to work in a group and want to develop your personal and social skills. You will be invited to discuss your application with a member of the team.
