Our higher apprenticeship activates UK school leavers to thwart cyber crime, decrypt data and untangle malware. The programme develops a blend of technical skills across digital security, information assurance and risk, to help apprentices onto a fantastic career path into Cyber Security.
During your apprenticeship, you'll be doing a real job. Typically this will be in either our Security Operations Centre, within our security implementation teams, or with our security architects. We also have apprenticeship positions working in some of our more specialised security departments.
You could be helping us secure our own networks, or those of our customers, or assisting in the launch of products through security testing. You might also be involved in helping us investigate fraud or cyber crime, working closely with law enforcements and intelligence agencies.
We'll give you plenty of opportunity to take part in group projects, team building, social activities and training courses that complement your college work.
A BT apprenticeship is an excellent alternative to university, and you'll have a guaranteed job at the end.
You must have, or expect to achieve, 3-4 Highers, plus 4 subjects at National 5 including English and Maths.
At BT, we’re creating an inclusive working environment where people from all backgrounds can succeed. Diversity makes sense for us, for our customers and for our future. We value different perspectives, skills and experiences, and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
Whatever your background, there are ten particular qualities that we expect everyone here to demonstrate. We call them strengths. Do you share them?
You'll have to go to college – typically for two weeks out of every six, and you will be expected to complete college work in between times.
On a higher apprenticeship you work towards a foundation degree.
