Planit Survey
After launching the brand new, redesigned Planit website last year, we were keen to find out what people thought. Our customers are important to us and we want to make sure that we get things right.
The 2015 Planit survey ran from November to the end of March and we had a great response – thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey, your feedback is very valuable.
We’ve now had a chance to collate all the feedback and results, so we thought we’d provide an overview and comment on some of the suggestions.
Figures
We were pleased to see that 87% of respondents found it either very easy or fairly easy to find what they were looking for. It was always our aim to make the navigation and menus intuitive and user friendly.
It was also encouraging to see that 74% of respondents were extremely or very likely to recommend the Planit website to someone they know.
In terms of content, 89% of respondents found it very easy or fairly easy to understand the information on Planit, which shows that our aim to write content in a way that is suitable for our target audiences is working.
Comments
We work very hard to make sure that Planit provides quality information that is easy to understand and from some of the comments we received, we’re pleased to say that we are getting things right! Some of the things that the respondents liked best about the website included:
- “Up to date information on new colleges/universities”
- “Relevant information needed such as salary, entry requirements, etc.”
- “So many jobs and lots of advice”
- “The range of different courses and their explanation of what grades you need to get in”
- “The Portfolio feature. It allows users to store so much information and retrieve it easily”
Suggestions
We asked people if there was anything we could do to improve the website or if there were other resources they’d like to see and got some good suggestions. Here are a few, along with our response:
- “Possibly shorten career match” – this is something that we did consider, but we want people using the quiz to get the best and most relevant results possible. We felt that by omitting some of the questions it would affect the quality of the results.
- “Create more quizzes to help make decisions” – in the future we will be improving the quizzes we currently have for making subject choices and we can also consider some additional ones for other areas.
- “Maybe some interviews or videos with people doing the job” – this is something that we are currently working on. It does take some time to source videos for over 700 job profiles, but we hope this will be available soon!
- “You should add a box where you can type in what qualifications you have and the results will be jobs you can do” – whilst we don’t have it in this format, we do have a feature in the Schools section of the website called ‘Subject Career List’ which allows you to choose different subjects and see what jobs you can do.
- “Develop a simple online strengths tool and some videos” – we do have a number of quizzes available in the Portfolio section that allows you to identify your personal qualities, values and skills. As mentioned previously, we are in the process of adding videos.
Thank you
Thanks to everyone who took part in the survey and congratulations to Rachel from Edinburgh, who was the lucky winner of the Amazon voucher.
We will continue to maintain and improve the Planit website to ensure that our customers are getting the best!
